Snow Day at 7Up

What do young people get up to on Snow Day?

Some of the 7Up Youth Group were “studying” the theme of “Creator God” this week… What better way than to have a go at making a “creation” of their own?

Meanwhile, apologies to those disappointed by the cancellation of the Carol Service at St Giles’. With the organist and choir snowed in, it would have been a cappella only! Thanks to Andrew, Hilda and Simon, who gamely stood at the gates to turn away any keen attendees. Fortunately, there weren’t any – our messages got through…

It’s Advent!

There’s so much going on, I’m squeezing in an extra blog this week! – Ed

What a great time we had opening up the season of Advent at our All-age service!

Thanks to everyone who had any part in making this service a real time of family worship. Everything from the first welcome, to the tidy-up time, the creative and thoughtful preparation and of course coffee and bacon sarnies was a whole team effort!

If you want to know more about all of this, ask someone who was there…

The Great Stoke Poges Rake Off

A dry sunny day and plenty of helpers were just the ticket on Saturday 25th November, when members of the church and our friends from Teikyo School joined the Reapers at St Giles’ for the Great Stoke Poges Rake Off! Well done everyone – what a HUGE pile of leaves you made!
